About these terms
Rally: Sports Trivia ("Rally") is made by Arvin Soltani Motlagh, an individual developer trading as Deadball Studio ("we", "us"). Contact us at support@deadballstudio.uk.
Your licence to use Rally comes from Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add the rules of the game on top of it. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to that point. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older to play Rally. If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.
Your account
You can play as a guest or with Sign in with Apple. A guest account lives on your iPhone: if you delete the app, sign out or change phone without linking it to Sign in with Apple, it cannot be recovered. Guest accounts with no activity for 12 months are deleted automatically. Each account is for one person. Keep access to your iPhone and Apple Account secure, because you are responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Usernames
Usernames are 3 to 16 letters, numbers or underscores, and are unique. They must not:
- be offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening;
- impersonate another person, an athlete, a team, Deadball Studio or Rally staff;
- include personal details such as a phone number or address;
- advertise anything or point to another service.
We may refuse a username or reset one that breaks these rules. A reset costs you nothing. Otherwise you get one free change after setting up your account, and each later change costs 500 Stripes.
Fair play
Every score is decided by our server, and the Weekly League puts you against real players. To keep it fair, do not:
- use bots, scripts or tools that play for you, read answers from the app, or change its timing;
- modify, decompile or tamper with Rally or interfere with our servers;
- exploit bugs (please report them to us instead);
- use several accounts to gain rewards or move up or down a league;
- sell, buy or share accounts.
Stripes, RP and items
Stripes are earned by playing. Rally Points (RP) will be available to buy in a future update. Stripes, RP, power-ups and items are a limited licence to use features inside Rally:
- they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money;
- they cannot be sold, traded or transferred to another account, except when you link a guest account to Sign in with Apple and its progress is merged;
- they are lost when your account is deleted, whether by you, by the 12-month guest rule or for a serious breach of these terms, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.
Nothing sold for money in Rally is random. Every power-up lowers the points available for the question it is used on, so the best possible scores are always unassisted. We may change prices or how items and power-ups work, but we will not take away an item you have bought for real money except as described in these terms.
Purchases and ads
The current version sells nothing and shows no ads. When purchases arrive, they will be made through Apple under Apple's terms, and Apple handles payment and refunds. If Apple refunds a purchase, we may remove what it gave you; an RP balance may then go below zero until it is topped up. Ask Apple about payments or refunds, and ask us if something you bought does not appear. Optional rewarded ads will give the reward shown once our server confirms the ad was completed.
Content and sharing
Rally's questions, artwork, Players, design and software belong to Deadball Studio or its licensors. You may share your result tickets and challenge links for personal, non-commercial use. Do not copy, resell or republish Rally's questions or other content.
Names of athletes, teams, competitions and events appear only as facts within questions. Rally is independent and is not endorsed by any league, club, team, driver or governing body. We check every question carefully, but if you think one is wrong, tell us: we may correct or remove it.
Suspension and closure
If you break these terms, we may, depending on how serious it is: warn you, reset your username, remove results or rewards gained unfairly, remove you from leaderboards or the Weekly League, or suspend or close your account. Where we can, we will tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email support@deadballstudio.uk and we will review it.
Changes to Rally
Rally will keep developing: we may add, change or remove modes and features, and occasionally the service may be interrupted. If we ever close Rally, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app where we reasonably can.
Our responsibility to you
We make Rally with reasonable care and skill. If you live in the UK or the EU, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, and nothing in these terms affects them. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses (Rally is for personal use), or for problems caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country where those laws allow it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Rally changes, including before purchases and ads launch. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you about significant changes in the app or on this page before they take effect. If you do not agree to the new terms, you can stop playing and delete your account.
